When you become a Metroline bus driver you are also starting a career that offers great flexibility, with a range of excellent benefits and huge opportunity for growth.
While in training, you will receive £14.80 per hour. After learning with our expert trainers and passing your PCV licence modules, you will earn £16.23 per hour, Mon-Fri as a basic* and up to £20.75 per hour on weekends in year one alone.
Your salary will rise with length of service, to as much as £20.12 per hour basic after three years, with the potential of up to £23.81 per hour on the weekend (overtime).
If you already hold a PCV driving licence when you join us, you could earn £17.51 per hour straight away depending on experience, with even higher rates on weekends.

What we need from you
- Hold a full driver’s licence, with at least one year’s UK driving experience*
- Current Right to work in the UK with minimum of 13 months remaining
- Ability to work shift patterns
- Hold a current PCV licence & DQC or be prepared to train for one
- Enjoy working with people and delivering high levels of customer service
* Applicants with 6 penalty points may be considered on an individual basis.
