Job summary

The Purchasing Administrator will report directly to the Head Buyer or in their absence the Purchasing and Contracts Manager and will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Purchasing function. This will involve managing and maintaining all aspects of general administration required to facilitate the smooth day to day running of the team.


Main Responsibilities



  • Receiving and processing Vehicle Off Road (VOR) reports.
  • Processing purchasing requisition requests.
  • Running re-order reports & processing Purchase Orders.
  • Assisting in resolving goods inwards discrepancies.
  • Assisting in the collection of garage fuel and oil readings.
  • Creating & amending part numbers.
  • Amending min/max, location and other stock item details.
  • Filing, archiving & administration.
  • Liaising and organising couriers.
  • Liaising with Suppliers and progressing outstanding purchase orders.
  • Compiling and managing data/reports.


Essential Criteria

  • Intermediate Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Attention to detail.

Hours of work

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
