Computer Cab is a subsidiary of ComfortDelgro an international land transport conglomerate.  It provides licensed taxi booking, despatch and invoicing services to corporate and private customers in the Greater London Area.  The drivers are self-employed and generally own their taxis.

The company employs 100 staff across 3 sites in London and has a call centre based in Aberdeen  The Company is structured in Division, Operations, Finance, and Marketing, Sales & Communications, with supporting services in Business Development, and HR.

Computer Cab plc currently has over 3,500 drivers subscribing to the circuit and the business turns over in excess of £75m per annum.

Computer Cab plc is the largest radio taxi circuit in the UK and operates by taking customers bookings, despatching the trips to self-employed licensed taxi drivers and then managing the invoicing and management information for those customers.

Self-employed licensed taxi drivers are at the very centre of the services Computer Cab plc provides. Over 2,500 taxi drivers fulfil up to 12,000 taxi journeys a day for our valued corporate and public sector accounts across all 32 London boroughs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Computer Cab plc prides itself on providing the best suite of services to drivers in the industry and a dynamic business requires that driver’s accounts are managed professionally and queries are dealt with promptly and efficiently.

With the growth in journey figures Computer Cab plc also has an ongoing programme of recruitment to attract and retain new drivers to the radio circuit to ensure the supply can keep up with demand and Computer Cab plc has been innovative in the offerings it provides to drivers joining the circuit.

Job summary

The purpose of this role is to provide an excellent level of service to all of the 2,500 drivers who subscribe to Computer Cab plc.

Main responsibilities include responding to dynamic telephone, email and SMS queries, setting up and managing driver’s accounts, dealing with day to day job and account queries, processing job clearances in line with company policies and procedures, processing credits and debits to a drivers accounts. There will be some processing and handling of financial transactions. This role also includes the on-boarding of New drivers that join the circuit. 

The team member must have the ability to handle a busy call taking role and to prioritise other tasks around responding to new queries. The will require experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and good computer literacy. He/She must have a good telephone manner and patient approach to queries.

Other tasks

The team member will be expected to carry out other tasks and duties as may be required from time to time.

Hours of work

37.5 hours per week
