The Engineering Administrator is responsible for providing clerical support to the engineering team.  This involves managing and maintaining all systems involved in the smooth day to day running of a busy engineering department. The Engineering Administrator will report directly to their appointed Engineering Manager for all garage related duties.

Main Responsibilities

 

 

  • To be the first point of contact for the Engineers regarding general queries;
  • Responsible for the calculating and inputting of payments data for engineering, i.e. overtime and absence time;
  • Maintaining and updating the payroll Excel spreadsheet;
  • Accurately recording all engineering lost time on the lost time cards and producing sickness and absence records for the payroll department at Head Office;
  • Liaising with Head Office departments regarding engineering;
  • Maintaining and updating the staff files of all the garage engineers;
  • Maintaining and updating the engineers’ weekly clock cards;
  • Completing starters and leavers notices;
  • Recording attendance;
  • Calculating mileage bonuses for eligible staff and producing monthly reports;
  • Responsible for keeping up to date holiday records for the engineers;
  • Filing, typing letters and taken minutes when necessary;
  • General Administration duties.

Essential Criteria for application

  • Computer Literate with excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook computer packages;
  • Previous experience in an admin role;
  • Previous experience in payroll processing.

Hours of work

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
