Job summary

To undertake the training of new drivers into the organisation to the required PCV standard including assisting with CPC acquisition. Plus various other elements of training when required to do.

Main Responsibilities

(Not exhaustive)

 

 

  • Driver Training to PCV Standard;
  • CPC module 4 Training to test standard;
  • C&G training
  • Vehicle checking and Defect reporting;
  • Type Training;
  • Introduction to Garages;
  • Completion of all progress reports and associated paperwork;
  • Communicating company policies and procedures;
  • Ensure the Health and Safety of all employees;

 

Essential Criteria

  • Experienced PCV Driver Trainer, with a proven track record within the industry.

Competencies & Skills

  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and at all levels;
  • A through knowledge of the Highway code and PCV legislation;
  • A committed, positive approach to encourage and support new and existing members of staff;
  • Ability to operate as a team player;
  • Ability to work well under pressure;
  • Be willing to develop others to increase team and individual performance.

Hours of work

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday (will involve shift work between 06:00 & 22:00) flexibility is essential.
