Job summary

To provide administrative support to the CCTV/Transport Safety team. To co-ordinate and administer the retrieval and storage of CCTV images in a timely manner. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and maintaining all aspects of CCTV equipment and the associated data protection processes required.

Main Responsibilities



  • Provide administrative support to the CCTV Team
  • Ability to work safely at all times, arrange for the retrieval of hard drives/CCTV images from buses;
  • Download CCTV footage and store on NAS device and where appropriate make CD/DVD copies;
  • Ensure all hard drive retrieval and image downloads are recorded as appropriate;
  • Act at all times with honesty & Integrity when liaising with Metroline claims dept, Police, TfL, third parties and Transport Safety Managers responding to requests for CCTV footage;
  • Comply with all data protection legislation;
  • Report all faults of CCTV equipment to the manufacturer, recording such faults and follow up ensuring repairs are carried out;
  • Liaise with manufacturer ensuring that up to date technology is used.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience within an administrative role is an advantage;
  • Skilled in the use of IT systems, including Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and at all levels;
  • Excellent attention for detail;
  • Ability to operate as a team player;
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Metrolines working area, routes and Garages;
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure;
  • Computer literate
  • Sound administrative and organisational skills;
  • Must be flexible and able to work unsupervised;
  • Highly committed, results focussed and able to prioritise workload;
  • Ability to use initiative and identify solutions when a problem or difficult situation arises;
  • Discrete when managing confidential matters;
  • Ability to collate and interpret statistical data.

Hours of work

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
