Job summary

The Data Administrator will work closely with and report directly to the Data Office Manager & Head of Transport safety. Responsible for ensuring all data requests are processed in a timely manner in line with GDPR, keeping accurate records of all data requests and supporting the day to day running administration required in the department.

Main Responsibilities



  • Processing and redacting of sensitive documents and other records
  • Processing and Redacting CCTV Footage
  • Keeping accurate records on an Excel Spreadsheet.
  • Maintaining the SAR tracker and other associated administration tasks.
  • Dispatching completed SAR Pack via recorded delivery
  • Ensure correct fees are received before releasing SAR data.
  • Open, distribute and where appropriate, deal with correspondence, both internal and external.
  • Writing of reports and other documents as required.
  • General filling
  • Support the CCTV Support Analyst as and when required.
  • Comply with all data protection legislation
  • Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to Metroline Core Values.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience within an administrative role is an advantage;
  • Previous experience with data processing is disirble

  • Ability to manage own workload effectively and work to deadlines;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Able to use own initiative when dealing with issues and escalate where necessary;
  • An understanding/appreciation of the service requirements and the management of day to day departmental issues;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate as a team player
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Word, Excel; Outlook and Power Point , Core and Oracle
  • To be able to verbally communicate effectively at all levels within the business, including members of the public, law enforcement & legal firms.


Hours of work

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
