Job summary

To manage a large workload of Third Party motor insurance claims including personal injury and credit hire with the ability to make sound decisions in respect of liability and financial settlements.

Main Responsibilities



  • To work in a proactive and effective manner to minimise financial exposure to the company.
  • To respond effectively in writing to claimant solicitors and or their representatives and/or Third Parties
  • To make sound financial/liability decisions based on evidence and documentation obtained.
  • General administration duties;

Essential Criteria for application

  • Demonstrable good working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules;
  • Skilled in the use of IT systems, including Excel, Word, Outlook;
  • Flexible approach to working hours.

  • Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • Ability to work well under pressure;
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively and work to strict deadlines;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
  • Excellent attention for detail;
  • Ability to collate and interpret statistical data;
  • Able to build lasting relationships with internal and external providers.

Hours of work

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some requirement to work over

and above these hours to meet deadlines as necessary.
