The main responsibility includes the timely, accurate and efficient input of supplier invoices along with accurate the reconciliation of accounts as directed by the Accounts Payable Manager.

Main Responsibilities

 

 

  • Supervising Accounts Payable clerks while the Accounts Payable Manager is away;
  • Checking, coding and entering in the system;
  • Dealing with suppliers queries that cannot be cleared by the  Accounts Payable clerks;
  • Dealing with Garages to sort out the queries;
  • Responsible for the production of purchase  accruals to strict deadlines;
  • Produce accurate pre cheque/BACS runs for review and approval and provide back up documentation as appropriate;
  • Overseeing and production of final cheque/BACS print run; allocation of cash paid via direct debits and manual cheques;
  • Responsible for the clearance of outstanding items on the  unauthorised invoice lists;
  • Accounts Payable new account maintenance; statement reconciliations including contact with suppliers for invoices not received etc.;
  • Journal compilation and input as required;
  • Control and monitoring archives & archiving of documents;
  •  Ad Hoc duties as required.

Essential Criteria

  • Computer literate especially on Accounts Payable and fixed asset accounting packages along with Microsoft Windows, Excel & Word;
  • Advanced knowledge of double entry book keeping;
  • Self motivated with an ability to work unsupervised;
  • Good training skills;
  • Person management skills.

  • Must be a team player and willing to develop others to increase team and individual performance.

Hours of work

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
