Sports and Social Events

As a public service provider, we become involved in a whole host of different events with the community. We recently

took out a local school (on a bus) to the premiere showing of Harry Potter in the West End. And we also encourage sports and social events within the garages.

Rewards

Metroline recognises achievement and hard work when it is earned. Under a new scheme staff are becoming eligible for a bonus linked to the reliability of the route. This bonus scheme will be rolled out to all routes as our contracts are renewed by London Buses.

Long Service Awards

People like working at Metroline. That is why we have so many long standing service men and women within the company. Every year marks the milestone of many individuals who have worked for us for 10, 20, 30 and 40 years. We currently have 9 members of staff working for us that have passed their 40 years service.

Personal achievement

Carl Hoyte (middle right of picture above) received his 40 years service award and has also won the Transport Award for his contribution to London Transport at the 2003 London Day celebrations, hosted by the Mayor of London. Carl works at the Staff Recruitment Centre and may even train you to drive a bus when you join Metroline.
